Cathay Pacific Airways is strengthening its presence in the United States with new and expanded routes to meet growing demand for travel between Asia and North America. The Hong Kong–based carrier announced the resumption of nonstop service to Seattle and the expansion of its Dallas/Fort Worth flights to daily service in the coming months.

Seattle Route Resumes in 2026

Starting March 30, 2026, Cathay Pacific will relaunch its Hong Kong–Seattle nonstop service. The route will operate five times per week using the Airbus A350-900, a fuel-efficient, long-haul aircraft known for its passenger comfort and modern cabin design.

This move marks a return to the Pacific Northwest for Cathay Pacific after pausing operations in recent years due to reduced demand and pandemic-related disruptions. Seattle is a major technology hub with strong business and cultural ties to Asia, making it a strategically valuable destination.

Dallas/Fort Worth Service Becomes Daily

In addition, Cathay Pacific announced that its Hong Kong–Dallas/Fort Worth flights will increase from several times a week to daily service beginning October 26, 2025. The boost reflects rising passenger traffic in the southern United States and strengthens connections for business and leisure travelers alike.

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is one of the busiest in the world and serves as a central hub for U.S. domestic and international travel. A daily Cathay Pacific flight will provide more seamless connectivity to Asia for travelers across Texas and the surrounding region.

Rising Demand Between Asia and North America

The airline’s U.S. expansion reflects a broader trend of rising demand for trans-Pacific travel, particularly between China, India, and North America. With global travel continuing to rebound, Cathay Pacific is positioning itself to capture more of this lucrative long-haul market.

A spokesperson for the airline emphasized:

“We are committed to rebuilding and expanding our global network. The return to Seattle and the expansion of our Dallas service demonstrate our confidence in strong and sustained passenger demand between Hong Kong, Asia, and the United States.”

What This Means for Travelers

  • More options for nonstop travel between the U.S. and Asia.
  • Improved connections for business travelers, especially in technology and trade sectors.
  • Enhanced long-haul comfort on the Airbus A350-900.

For travelers in the Pacific Northwest and southern U.S., Cathay Pacific’s expansion offers fresh opportunities for easier access to Asia’s key markets.
